Hands-On Opportunities

Every CARPE meeting has room to get hands-on. Bring your own devices, or borrow ours at the meetup — either way works, and you can mix the two.

The only hard requirement is a laptop, so you can work on code and flash your devices. Bring a USB cable that fits your board if you have one, and get your laptop ready before you come. No laptop? Bring a friend who has one and buddy up.

Have an idea for a kit, or a project you’d lend out? Mention it in Discord or at a meeting.

Starter Kits New to electronics? Borrow a starter kit and blink your first LED, drive a display or play with simple sensors. Example Project Kits Complete projects that come pre-wired and already running. Borrow one for the evening, then make it yours. On-Site IoT as a Service A network and back-end services for your devices, right in the room: MQTT messaging, logs and dashboards, with no cloud account. Bring Your Own Devices Your breadboard, microcontrollers and sensors — a finished project or a bag of parts, it all fits.
